Diflucan is an antifungal medication used to treat infections caused by yeast or yeast-like organisms.

Directions for Intake:

• Diflucan is taken orally, as often as indicated in the prescription of your doctor
• Usual recommended single oral daily dose of this medication for vaginal candidiasis is 150mg
• Should be taken at evenly spaced intervals to keep the amount of medicine in the body at a constant level
• Finish the entire amount that was prescribed even after beginning to feel better
• Take any missed dose as soon as it is remembered. However, do not double the dosage of your medication at any particular assigned time
• In case of overdosing, seek medical attention immediately

Directions for Storage:

• Store this medication in a place away from moist, light and extreme heat
• The appropriate temperature for the storage area is between 59 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 15 to 30 degrees Celsius
• Also choose a storage area that is not easily accessible to children

Precautions:

• Consult your doctor before taking Diflucan. Make sure to give your doctor a complete background of your medical history
• Inform your physician of any other prescription or over-the-counter medications that you’re currently taking, especially the following medications: rifampin, warfarin, phenytoin, cyclosporine, theophylline, terfenadine, certain benzodiazepines, oral contraceptives, and oral antidiabetic drugs
• Inform your physician of any previous or present experience of having hypersensitivity to fluconazole and to other azoles, any drug allergies, and liver or kidney problems
• If you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Diflucan
• If you are lactating, it may be harmful to use Diflucan
